Biography of David F. Briggs
Born in Richmond Virginia, I attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute, where I successfully completed a Bachelor of Science degree in General Science in 1972 and a Master of Science degree in Geological Sciences in 1975.
My career as a geologist began during the fall of 1974 with the Federal Power Commission, where I participated as a member of a team, which assisted the legal staff in analyzing testimony submitted by the natural gas industry. I resigned this position in 1977, in order to resume my education at the University of Arizona. After an additional year of graduate study, I joined the exploration staff of Quintana Minerals Corporation in June 1978.
Over the next three and half decades, I have worked in various capacitities for the mining industry. This work has ranged from grass-roots exploration projects to comprehensive evaluation programs of known deposiits, including the McCoy-Cove and Robinson mines in Nevada and the Christmas, Twin Buttes and Rosemont projects in Arizona. I have also authored comprehensive studies on more than 600 domestic and international mining operations.
I am a member of the Society of Mining Engineers and currently serve as the secretary for the Arizona Geological Society.

Established in January 1990 by David Briggs, Geomineinfo was formed as a cost effective way to provide accurate and detailed geological, engineering, metallurgical and financial information to the base and precious metals mining industry. Over the next fifteen years, the principal product provided by Geomineinfo was the Mining Operations Report, a comprehensive study that grew to more than 600 domestic and international mining operations. In 2006, the rapid expanding ability to access data on the internet, led to a decision to change the focus of our business to a wide variety of geological, geotechnical and data base management services.
